The line-up

Four games worth keeping on your phone

Each one is the full game — not a demo. Every title plays solo against adjustable bots, two-player on a single device, or over local Wi-Fi.

Tic Tac Toe

9 levels · up to 11×11 · Infinity mode

A 9-level ladder that grows from 3×3 to an 11×11 board needing five in a row, each rung with its own named challenger. Flip on Infinity mode and your oldest mark vanishes on every move — so a draw is impossible. The top bot is perfect minimax and will never lose.

  • 1–2 players
  • vs bot · pass & play · Wi-Fi
  • Random → perfect minimax

Ludo

2–4 players · fair seating · house rules

The board-game night staple, tuned for phones. Two-player games seat you diagonally opposite for a fair race, empty Wi-Fi seats fill with bots, and house-rule toggles let you set how sixes and exact finishes work. The Hard bot spreads its tokens, guards blocks and hunts captures.

  • 1–4 players
  • vs bot · pass & play · Wi-Fi
  • Rookie · Scrapper · Tactician

Dots and Boxes

Small · Classic · Large boards

Join the dots, close a box, go again. Pick a quick 3×3, the standard 4×4, or a tactical 6×6 grid. The Hard bot isn't just greedy — it counts chains and plays the real double-cross, handing you two boxes to keep control of the endgame.

  • 1–2 players
  • vs bot · friend · Wi-Fi
  • Rookie · Sharp · chain-aware Master

Bagh-Bandi

Tiger vs 7 Soldiers · asymmetric hunt

A traditional South Asian hunt game on a 13-point hourglass board. One side is the Tiger, leaping over Soldiers to eat them; the other is seven Soldiers trying to pen the Tiger until it can't move. Wildly different to play from each side. Hard bot runs alpha-beta minimax.

  • 1–2 players
  • vs bot · pass & play · Wi-Fi
  • Cub · Hunter · minimax Shikari

Why it feels good

Built for actual game nights

Small download, no logins, and every mode you'd want for two people and a phone — or a room full of devices.

Play your way

Every game does solo vs a bot, two-player pass-and-play on one device, and 2–4 players over Wi-Fi. Switch modes in a tap.

Opponents that think

Easy, Medium and Hard tiers. Tic Tac Toe and Bagh-Bandi go all the way to alpha-beta minimax; Dots and Boxes plays real endgame theory.

Wi-Fi multiplayer, no setup

Same Wi-Fi or a hotspot — devices just find each other. No room codes, no server, no accounts. The join list previews each match before you tap in.

Talk while you play

Turn on in-match voice during any Wi-Fi game. It runs straight between your devices, the mic starts muted, and nothing is ever recorded.

Light & dark

Follow the system, or lock it light or dark. The whole app re-themes instantly — no restart, no flash.

Yours, on your device

A local profile, per-game win/loss records, streaks, match history and win confetti — all stored on your phone. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.

How Wi-Fi play works

Three taps from "same room" to "playing and chatting". No internet required.

  1. 1

    Get on the same Wi-Fi

Any shared Wi-Fi network works — or have one player start a phone hotspot the others join. You never leave the local network.

  2. 2

    One hosts, others see it

The host picks the game and settings. Everyone else opens the same game and the host appears in a list, with the board and rules previewed.

  3. 3

Tap to join — then talk

Join and the match starts. Flip on voice chat from the top bar and you're playing and chatting, all over the local Wi-Fi.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

Is Dual Play free?

Yes — free to download and play. It's supported by ads. There's no paid account, no subscription and no "premium" games locked away.

Do I need internet to play?

No. Playing a bot or passing one phone between two players is completely offline. Wi-Fi multiplayer needs the devices on the same Wi-Fi network or hotspot, but still no internet connection. Internet is only used to load ads.

Does Wi-Fi play use my mobile data?

No. Multiplayer moves and voice chat travel directly between devices on your local network. Only ads use data.

What data does the app collect?

Your game profile, settings and match history stay on your device and are removed when you uninstall. The app does show ads via Google AdMob and collects anonymised usage and crash data via Google Firebase to fix bugs. The full breakdown is in the Privacy Policy.

How many players can join?

Tic Tac Toe, Dots and Boxes and Bagh-Bandi are one or two players. Ludo is two to four. A local Wi-Fi room holds up to four devices.

Is there voice chat?

Yes, during Wi-Fi matches. It's peer-to-peer over your Wi-Fi, the microphone starts muted, and audio is never stored or sent to a server.

Which Android version do I need?

Dual Play targets modern Android devices.
